The show is a public service announcement concerning the California State Special Election scheduled for May 19th 2009. The proposition 1D intends to remove $608 mil+ from the organization known as First Five. First Five for the past 10 years has been providing community services for families and children. Additionally they leverage Federal funding in addition to State revenues. The Ballot description of the proposition does not accurately depict that services are currently being offered and would be negatively impacted as a result if the proposition is passed. The 1 hour program is comprised of 5 community executives from bay area non-profits having an open discussion about the impact upon the community if proposition 1D is passed by California voters.
